At the beginning of August 2014 21 year old Timothy Mills completed a half Ironman challenge following which he had problems eating and sleeping. A hospital visit, tests, scans and a biopsy revealed that Timothy had acute lymphoblastic lymphoma. The one and a half hour drive from Pembrokeshire to Cardiff for treatment was a big problem as Timothy needed the support of his family during this time. When the family were offered the use of a Rhys Daniels Trust Cardiff ‘Home from Home’ it meant his family could be at his bedside during long spells of Timothy’s treatment. During this time the three hour round trip just would not have been possible for Timothy when he was feeling unwell and weak.
May 2015 and Timothy has completed the intense stage of treatment and is now on the maintenance stage.
