Our Patron, The Duchess of Kent
I feel so privileged to have known Charly & Rhys Daniels. Their courage and bravery was an inspiration to us all. In their short lives they gave so much to so many, but the wonderful memories we share will live on through the continued work of the Rhys Daniels Trust. I am very honoured to be Patron of this very special charity, which aims to help families with sick children, by providing them with accommodation during long-term treatment at specialist children's hospitals.
Our Vice-Patron, Pauline Quirke
I feel so proud to have met Charly and Rhys, whose gentle faces gave happiness to everyone they met. They were very special children, and as Vice-Patron of the Rhys Daniels Trust, I feel privileged to continue with our work in honour of their bravery.
Our Vice-Patron, Max Clifford
To take tragedy and despair and turn it into triumph and fulfillment is a truly amazing achievement and that's exactly what Barry and Carmen Daniels have done in the 12 years since they set up a magical organisation that is the Rhys Daniels Trust. Following the tragic death of two of their children, Charly and Rhys, Barry and Carmen set about rebuilding their shattered lives and overcoming their awful loss by creating a charity that has provided a wonderful help to so many other families facing adversity. By providing accommodation for the families of very sick children when they are in hospital, a long way from home, the Rhys Daniels Trust provides a vital service. Anyone who has been around children in these situations would know just how important it is that their loved ones are there with them, to comfort and support them. I'm proud to have played a small part - as have many others - in helping Barry and Carmen build and sustain such a wonderful charity over the past 10 years.
