Bristol - 9 years old
The initial Rhys Daniels Trust 'Home from Home' project, which supports the Bristol Hospital for Sick Children, celebrated its 9th birthday on 18 May 2008. The two houses, which contain four individual flats, are constantly occupied and have offered a safe haven for families from as far afield as Belfast, Devon, Berkshire and London.

Liverpool - 8 years old

Our 'Butterfly Haven' project, supporting the Oncology Ward at Liverpool's Alder Hey Children's Hospital, celebrated the 8th anniversary of its opening on 18 June 2008. These properties have been in constant use over the last seven years with some families returning time and again as treatment progresses, making these properties truly a home away from home.

Every Rhys Daniels Trust 'Home from Home' is completely self-contained. They are free for families to use for as long as that family's circumstances dictate and families may return as many times as necessary. Each 'Home from Home' is fully equipped and beautifully furnished and families need only bring their clothes and personal items everything else is provided. The perfect solution at such a difficult time.

London - 5 years old
The three self contained London flats support the Variety Club Children's Hospital at King's College Hospital. Over the past 5 years this 'Home from Home' project has provided a haven for numerous families who have children suffering from many illnesses. These include children receiving special care at the Liver Transplant Unit, children receiving treatment for Cystic Fibrosis or children recovering from brain surgery.

Birmingham - 4 years old
Our fourth 'Home from Home' project opened on 1st September 2003 to support the Birmingham Children's Hospital. Three self contained flats offer a sanctuary for families whose children are being treated in the Oncology/Haematology wards at the hospital where most are undergoing bone marrow transplants.

Rhys' House / Charly's House and Haven House at our Birmingham Home were very heavily supported by the Children's No. 1 Foundation. Royal Marsden - 2 years old
Our 'Home from Home' project which supports the Children's Cancer Care Unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton, Surrey celebrated its second birthday on 24 August 2007. Three two bedroom flats offer invaluable facilities and enable families to stay together at times of great need. The flats have been home to families from Cyprus, Nigeria, Kuwait, Oman, UAE and Greece as well as Birmingham, Bristol, Kent and Sussex.

A huge THANK YOU to the Sparkle Children's Charity for nominating the Rhys Daniels Trust, Royal Marsden 'Home from Home' project as their chosen cause to benefit from the 2005 Sparkle Ball, which raised a phenomenal £250,000. Cardiff - Just opened
The two flats provided to support the all-new Children's Hospital for Wales in Cardiff have now opened their doors and have been operational since the end of last year.
