He did it! On 2 August Chris Coyne took part in the 2015 Prudential Ride London to Surrey 100. This event celebrates the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and started in the new Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then followed a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics, it is a truly spectacular event for all involved.
Chris, who said it ‘was a tremendous day’, completed the ride in 7hrs 2 minutes and that time included 30 minutes of stops, which is fantastic. The sunny and warm conditions ensured the crowds were out to cheer the riders on particularly at the finish on The Mall in central London.
