April 13th London Marathon
Our runners did it! Bionic BUSTER MARTIN ran the London Marathon in 10 hours exactly finishing at 7.45pm. A marathon world record for a man of his age. An amazing achievement for Buster, and an inspiration to us all. BUSTER MARTIN has so far raised over £20,000 with all funds coming to the Rhys Daniels Trust. May 11th Epping Family Fun Run
The 13th Rhys Daniels Trust Epping Family Fun Run took place on Sunday 11th May. The annual event sponsored by Warburtons supports the 'Home from
Home' initiative. This years event was another great success with celebrities; Snooker World Champion Ronnie O’Sullivan and 101 year old BUSTER MARTIN lending their support.

June 5th – 8th Max Clifford Celebrity Golf Challenge
A fantastic weekend of golf and fundraising took part at La Cala Hotel & Golf Resort, Mijas Costa, Spain, an outstanding resort on Spain’s Costa del Sol. Since Max Clifford come up with this wonderful idea seven years ago it has become one of our most successful fundraising events. This years event raised £150,000 as it proved to be bigger and better than ever with a fierce competition to win the Rhys & Charly Trophy, eventually won by the team from Obelisk Group. The entire event will be shown on SKY Sports TV in a 1-hour long sports special on the 23rd and 24th of June.

June 7th Butterfly Ball at 'La Fiesta de la Mariposa'
£150,000 raised!!! - This fantastic evening at the Puente Romano Hotel proved to be a fantasic finale to the whole golfing weekend with a total of £150,000 raised. There were celebrity appearances from Bobby Davro, Chris Tarrant, Stan Boardman, James Hewitt, Johnny Briggs, Jess Conrad, Chris Simmons, Vice-Patron Pauline Quirke, host Vice-Patron Max Clifford and many more. Thank you to all those who supported the 2008 event.

This years Duke of Essex Polo Trophy was one of the most glamorous events ever seen in this county. With England coming head to head with Argentina. The organizers chose the Rhys Daniels Trust to benefit from this prestigious event. __________________________________________________________________________
July 26th - NEW DATE - Bristol Summer Ball
Mike & Debra Diamond lend their support once again with this superb annual event in support of our 'Home from
Home' Appeal. The birth of this charity began in Bristol and this event has proved to pay great tribute to where Rhys Daniels received both of his potentially life saving bone marrow transplants and where the Trust’s first ever 'Home from
Home' laid its roots.

September 26th - NEW EVENT - Celebrity Golf Classic
at Brocket Hall
Enjoy a whole day of golf at one of England’s finest stately homes and one of the South of England's finest Championship golf courses. Brocket Hall, home to the Faldo Golf Institute, is only 45 minutes from central London. The event will be covered on SKY SPORTS TV.
