Charity Music Concert
Wendy and friends sung for you and the Rhys Daniels Trust – at the Church of Our Lady, Queen of Peace
Location: Braintree, Essex
Date: Sunday, 5th July 2009
Money raised for the Trust from this event: £700
Extra Information: The event was inspired by the story of Maisie Leach who was suffering from Multiple Haemangioendothelioma of the Liver and being treated at the Kings College Hospital in London. During this time Maisie’s family stayed at the Rhys Daniels Trust 'Home from Home' flat close by the hospital. Over the past 5 years Maisie has made an incredible recovery and the Rhys Daniels Trust feel very proud to have, in some small way been able to assist Maisie and her family. During the Concert the songs performed, included wonderful renditions of ‘Nella Fantasia’ – ‘Hallelujah’ - ‘Ave Maria’ – ‘Nessun Dorma’ and a beautiful and very moving performance of ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’ sung by Wendy Fee and Holly, Maisie and Tilly Leach. The Master of Ceremonies was Professor Chris Green, OBE and keyboard accompaniment by Martin Fee and Guitar by Clare Leach. The evening event raised an amazing £700 towards our 'Home from Home' Appeal and the Rhys Daniels Trust greatly appreciates all the hard work and effort of the Leach family, Wendy and Martin fee and everyone involved at the Church.
