Colour 4 Everyone Day Colour 4 Everyone – a day for the celebration of colour founded by Colours of the Soul.
This annual world-wide event is held each year on the 21st of June.
The aim of the day is for everyone to enjoy and celebrate colour, whilst at the same time raising money for charitable causes through competitions, sponsorship and donations. The Rhys Daniels Trust is pleased to have been chosen by Colours of the Soul as one of the Participating Charities. About Colour: So often taken for granted, colour is powerful and profound; and plays an integral part in everyone's life and overall well-being. Everywhere we look we see colour, it is used in every day language, and yet we often fail to harness it's wonderful healing qualities. Mandalas: The theme for this years Colour 4 Everyone Day is Mandalas. The word mandala in Sanskrit (historical Indian language) means circle and centre. Mandalas are used for healing and meditation, dating back to ancient times. They also provide fun and beneficial ways of working with colour. Through the use of colour in the mandala, you are able to gently release pent up emotions and bring balance back into your life. Mandalas exist naturally within nature; they can be seen in flowers, tree trunks, shells, labyrinths, snowflakes, the solar system, circular ripples in water as a raindrop falls, even the human eye is a mandala, to give just a few examples. The Tibetan Monks create the most wonderful, vibrant and intricate mandalas out of fine particles of coloured sand. These sand mandalas form part of their spiritual practices aimed to bring peace and harmony to the world. All ages can have fun with mandalas, especially children who love colouring, and at the same time benefit from the wonderful healing effects of both the mandala and colour. Categories: There are 4 categories for creating mandalas:- Money Raising Ideas: We suggest monies can be raised in two ways:- Monies raised from these events should be paid directly to the Rhys Daniels Trust. Once you have collected your donations please make payment online by clicking here. Why not also give your fundraising event it's own page? Click here to set-up a Mandala Sponsorship Page. Organise a Colour Day: Once you've decided on your choice of how to raise money think about how you can get participants involved, e.g:- • Gather together your friends, family, colleagues and members of your community to take part or sponsor you. Monies raised from your Colour Day should be paid directly to the Rhys Daniels Trust. Once you have collected your donations please make payment online by clicking here.
